BSG AND 13TH TRIBE TIME LINE PART 1

i am creating a timeline that is set in the classic bsg universe. it covers from several hundred years before the destruction of the 12 colonies to the aftermath of the encounter between galactica and the reg tag fleet and their meeting up with the 13th tribe. i will be doing a bunch of scenerios and publish them and i will be making counters and ship control sheets and from there the rules. in the meantime here is part 1 of the timeline it covers from several hundred years before the destruction of the colonies to the ambush of the colonial fleet at citmar. let me know what you think, is it good or do i need to make some changes, i have emailed a copy to novastar to get his imput. the battlestars for the 13th tribe will be a bit diffrent from any battlestars seen on tv or on the internet.so kickback and enjoy.



2020 earth: the libary of atlantis is discovered under the spinx, it contains the history of the exodus from kobal to earth and history up to the sinking of atlantis, mu and lemuria. it also contains desgin on battlestar construction.

the colonies: the battle of solox, both sides takes heavy casulities, but the battle is a major victory for the colonial fleet. the galactica destroys four enemy ships and one hundred and fifty fighters during the battle, the war then enters a period of thirty years of calm, but minor fighting still continues.

2045 earth : in one generation technology leaps two hundred years, thanks to the infomation in the libary. earth is divided into nine alliances, with the three most powerful being the eu-north american alliance, the chinese colliation and the russian alliance.

the colonies: baltar's great grandfather, who founded a priate cartel decades earlier is killed in a raid by colonial forces.

2050 earth: colonization of the moon and mars by the four most powerful alliances.

the colonies: the period of calm ends in a cylon sneek attack on several settlements near the frontlines, tens of thousands are killed before the cylons a repelled by colonial forces.

2055 earth: earth is now divided into six alliances, mining colonies set up on the asteriod belt.

the colonies: adama's grandfather is killed in battle, when he rams his badly damaged battlestar into a cylon baseship, the explosion destroys a neaby cylon baseship.

2065 earth:the solo war breaks out amoung the six fractions, as the chinese colliation and the musilm alliance launches a sneek attack on the other four fractions. with the goal of conquering the whole solor system.

the colonies: the stix class baseships enters service.

2072 earth: the devastating war continues, as the chinese-muslim forces loses their final terriotory on mars and the asteriod belt..

the colonies : the final offical battlestar class, the kobal class enters service. the last battlestar  from this class is destroyed at the battle of molecay two years before the destruction of the colonies.

2076 earth: the sol war ends in chinese-mulsim alliance defeat, with their forced depleted, the pro democratic movement in chinese and musilm territory launches an all out offensive, civil war breaks out in those two fractions. a total of 3.5 billion died in the sol war, still  leaving the human population at nine billion.

the colonies:  the cylons launches an all out offensive along the front lines. and major settlements near the front lines is the scene of some of the war's most brutal fighting in over one hundred and fifty years. the cylons goal is to destroy the major settlements in the colonies outer territory.

2080 earth : the civil war ends in victory for the pro democratic forces. earth is now divided into two fractions. the two sides start negotions on merging the two fractions into one, espically after deep space probes picks signs of life on other planets.

the colonies: the coloial major settlement, new kobal is destroyed by the cylons after both sides takes heavy losses in the fighting. new kobal was the colonies outer capital.

2095 earth: after years of negotions, earth is now united under one goverment, called the sol alliance. exporation by earth ships outside the system begins with the riverstar class of exploration ships.

the colonies: cain's grandfather leads the colonial forces in a major counter attack that halts the cylon offensive, who falls short of acomplishing their goal. cain's grandfather dies of his wounds a few days later. the quorum of twelve decides to leave the front lines and territory where it is currently at, their theory is a smaller territory is easier to defend.

2109 earth : earth's first two colonies is establish in two diffrent systems. construction on leo class battlestars begins. the first true battlestars to be built by earth. the names of all 15 battlestars comes from the constellations.

the colonies: a period of peace begins. a new class of misslestars enters service at this time.

2125. earth: earth now has 12 colonies and construction on misslestars and san antonio class frigates begins.

the colonies: baltar's grandfather is exacuted for betraying a mining settlement on tuxi-six to priates. a total of one hundred and forty people dies in the raid. the priated are tract down and destroyed by cain's father.

2139 earth: first contact with the peaceful races of kintou, nuto and rylosions.

the colonies: the colonial forces, discovers that the cylons are building up their forces. they start to prepare their defensives.

2141 earth: first contact with the reptilian race the siruns, who has several slave races and an eight hundred light year empire. tiger class battlestars starts construction, eventuall, there will be twenty-five battlestars in this class. green river class destroyers goes into service at this time.

the colonies:  the birth of adama and cain. going thru a nearby nebula, the colonial fleet lead by  cain's father attacks and catches the cylons off guard. the cylon fleet is badly mauled, while the colonials takes light losses. after the battle is over, cain's father is given command of the colonial forces on the front lines. adama's father is given command of the galactica two years later.

2156 earth: earth estabilshes it's one hundredth colony. a sirun squadron captain attempts to takee control of new tokyo colony. he is defeated and captured, of his shiups three is destroyed and one is captured. the sirun goverment is quick to deny any involment, saying the captain and his forces were renagades. in reality the sirun emperor sent the captain to take control of the colony, to see what battlestars are like in combat.

the colonies: with their birthday in a few months, adama and cain are accepted into caprica's military academy. the fighting over the next few years is both periods of heavy and light fighting.

2160 earth: first contact with the peaceful orch untiy and the priate organzation called the dread. a new battlestar class starts construction, the olympion class, shorter than other battlestars before it eventauly there will be twenty-eight battlestars in this class.

the colonies: adama and cain are assigned to the battlestar cerebes.

2170-2176 earth: first galactic war between earth and the peaceful races on one side and the siruns and dreads on the other side. earth and her allies wins the war.

the colonies: durring this time, adama and cain are squadron leaders on the battlestar prometheus and sees heavy fighting. adama encounters tigh and the two becomes close friends.

2190 earth: the raven class light cruisers and the victory class heavy cruisers goes into service.

the colonies: adama is promoted to colonel and is first officer aboard the battlestar promethues. a year later cain is promoted to colonel is is the first officer onboard the pegasus.

2200 earth: the liberty class battlestars goes into service, eventually there will be thirty battlestard in this class built. the older battlestars and cruisers are upgraded.

the colonies: a massive cylon offensive occurs along the front. heavy fighting continues for two years, before the front lines are stablized.when it does, the colonials, lose thirteen percent of their territory.

2206 earth: earth and the peaceful races forms an military alliance.

the colonies: count baltar is dishonorable discharged from the military, because of his descision to have his ship run from a major  battle that cost the colonial the victory. adama and cain lead the fight that got baltar discharged from the military, baltar vows revenge.

2210 earth: the second galactic war breaks out between earth and her allies and the sirun-dread alliance.

the colonies: baltar discovers a rich source of valuable minerals and fuel on a small settlement on picon 8.
the settlement is on a planet located mid way from the front lines and the colonies.

2215 earth: the war by now is in favor of earth and her allies, their spies also locates the the dread headquarters, but can't attack yet until they push the front lines further into enemy space.

2218 earth: the war ends in victory for earth and her allies. one of the last major battles of the war is fought at the dread headqurters, which is destroyed, killing most of the dread leadership. after the war, a campagin begins to destroy the rest of the dread priates.

the colonies: cain's father dies from natural causes, and cain himself is given command of the pegasus, after it's commander is killed and cain took command and then destroys the cylon baseship and it's two supporting minor warships.

2226 earth: a new class of battlestars, the freedom class enters service, eventually there will be thirty six. a new class of misslestars, cruisers, destroyers and frigates also enters service. the siruns begins long term preparations for a new war with earth and her allies.

the colonies: an offensive led by cain and adama retakes some of it's lost territory. around this time is a series of births of apollo, starbuck and boomer. tigh is promoted to major and stationed onboard the battlestar promethues.

2231 earth: a new generation of riverstar explorer class ships goes into service. the sirun emperor is assassinated by his youngest son. he then assassinates his older brother and claims the throne. he then delays the start of the new war  by twenty years, as he wants to increase the pop and bring more powerful class of ships into service.

the colonies: the birth of cain's daughter and the birth of adama's daughter. the cylons raid a city on caprica, killing several thousand before they are defeated. starbuck is declared an orphan.

2235 earth: zues class command battlestars goes into service, eventually there will be twenty-four built. a new generation of misslestars goes into service.

the colonies: birth of zack. adama while on patrol runs into a cylon warstar and destroys it, in a battle that leaves the galactica moderate damaged.

2237 earth: the great sirun war starts, when earth and her allies decides to launch a surprise attack at sirun military bases and shipyards, after the allies gets evidence of the siruns building up  their military for a new war.

the colonies: the cylons launches a major offensive against colonial territory, the colonials is caught offgaurd. the heavy fighting is stopped at the battle of persus six which the cylon armada loses most of it's ships and fighters, of the three colonial fleet involve at the battle,  and the first and second fleets loses half of it's ships and fighters. the quorom of twelve decides to dissolve the second fleet and transfer their ships and fighters to the first fleet. the cylon offensive has destroyed settlements on a dozen plus colonial worlds outside the twelve colonies. in an election, baltar bribes his way into becoming the president of his colony.

2240 earth: as the sirun war continues, the most powerful class of battlestars built by earth, the nova star battlestars enters service. eventually, there will be fifty built. a new class of heavy destroyers and long range attack cruisers enters service.

the colonies: baltar contacts the cylon secretly and begins to spy for them, over the next two years, he sets up a small organization to help him spy for the cylons. everyone in baltar's organization is from his colony.

2242 earth: in a major, but costly victory, earth and her allies destroys the headquarters for the sirun military durring the biggest battle of the war to date.

the colonies: apollo, starbuck, bomer and bojay are accepted into caprica military academy. baltar gives the cylons, the location of a shipyard, where two new battlestars are being built. the cylons launches a surprise attack on the shipyard with two warstars and three baseships. cain who is on patrol nearby with the pegasus and three tiger destroyers, responds. the shipyard is badly damaged and the two new battlestars being built are destroyedby the time cain gets there. he then attacks the cylon forces. in the battle that follows, three tiger destroyers, one warstar and one battleship is destroyed, with the other two baseships being damaged, the cylons then retreats having acomplished their goal.

2244 earth: the battle of solox, destroys the last major sirun fleet, the siruns surrenders ending the war.

the colonies: the galactica destroys and capture a large group of priates, who were raiding a large colonial transport convoy. adama's investigation on who give the location, leads him to baltars brother, who is arrested tried and convicted. he is then exacuted a year later, baltar vows to kill adama and destroys the galactica.

2247 earth:  a new generation of command batttlestars enter service, the rocketstars, a total of twenty-eight will be built. earth now has two hundred and twenty colonies in ninety five planetary systems.

the colonies: sheba enters caprica military academy. baltar gives the cylons the location of the colonial first fleet. they then ambush the first fleet with a massive fleet. in the major battle that follows, the two fleets destroys each other. only the battlestar pronethues and a few minor/supporting ships survive with one hundred and sixty vipers. they heads towards unknown space since other cylon forces has cut them off from colonial space. of the cylon fleet only one warstarone baseship and one destroyer with two hundred fighters survived the battle.

2248 earth: delta class battlestars goes into service, eventually there will be forty. the new faster mark 7 fighters goes into service. earth sends twelve explorerstars into unknown space to begin exploration.

the colonies. the fourth fleet is sent by the qourom to destroy a major cylon base, but baltar gives the plans to the cylons and a large fleet is waiting for the colonials, when they get there. the fighting last for hours as the cylons destroys the fourth fleet, with only the galactica and columbia both escapes with what's left of their fighters. the cylons has heavy losses and ends up losing the base and their colony next to the base, when a heavly damaged battlestar cerebes rams into the base. the commander had the nukes onboard the battlestar activated.apollo is promoted to captain and made strike leader of galactica's fighter squadrons.

2249 earth: while exploring space the explorer ship clombus disappears with all hands, the mystery won't be solved for twenty years.

the colonies: cain and the 5th fleet leaves for molcay, they are betrayed by baltar to the cylons. the cylons ambush the 5th fleet in a major battle. the 5th fleet is destroyed, with the exception of the pegasus, after gathering survivors, she heads towards gomray the cylons have heavy losses and lose most of their warstars. in an election and using the bulk of his famil's remaining fortune, baltar is elected to the qaurom of twelve.

2250 earth: a new generation of misslestars enter service and all older battlestars and ships are upgraded. earth makes peaceful contact with the altarians, who look exactly like humans.

the colonies: while on patrol, the galactica encounters and destroys a cylon warstar.baltar works with the cylons to destroy the last colonial fleet and the colonies, except for baltar's colony. the cylons would later betray baltar and destroys his colony. zack and athena enters caprica military academy. the columbia destroys a cylon baseship while on patrol, the columbia is put into spacedock for repairs. there are several defenders undergoing repaire as well.

2251 earth: earth makes the discovery of a lifetime. the altarians, who looks like humans, also have legnds involving the 13th tribe. a d.n.a. testing proves that altarians are humans. the two races figures they are part of the 13th tribe. they form an military alliance and trade agrements. the explorerstars and ships from altarians are given a mandate to find more 13th tribe settlements.

the colonies: zack and athena gradutes from the academy and adama has them assigned to the galactica. baltar convinces adar and the qaurom, that the cylons wants peace. the qaurom gathers the remaining fleet and heads for citmar. he also announces that with baltar's council, he is cuting the military budget by half. which does not goes well with some on the qaurom. the cylons ambush the fleet at citmar with a thousand fighters. only the galactica and sixty seven fighters survive the ambush. the cylons lose two thirds of there fighters. zack is killed by the cylons before the battle starts. the cylons attack the colonies with three groups of baseships and their supporting ships. their is heavy fighting in the colonies as the columbia with a few remaing ships counter attacks on one cylon baseship group. the few remaing colonial ships and the columbia is destroyed, but not before they destroy two warstars, one baseship and all troop transports.when the colonies are nothing but ruins, they pull back to the cylon empire to gather more ground troops to wipe out the remaining humans. this buys adama enough time to gather a group of survivors and and leaves the colonies. several groups of cilvilan ships strike out on their own and head into the galaxy in separte directions. a group of twenty three vipers from the columbia and the colonies makes contact with the galactica as she is leaving the colonies with twoo hundred and twenty ships. they land on the galactica and bost their fighters from sixty seven to ninety. the battle of carillon is fought a few days later. the cylon baseship and fighters are destroyed.the cylon leader and carillon with a large cylon ground force is destroyed.

this conculdes part one which worked on for several months, soon i will concluded the timeline in part two. let me know what you think, what changes i should make. like i said before after the timeline is done, i plan on doing counters and ship scs and scenerios, then the rules.
